It’s Summer Already!

Boy, winter does pass quickly around here. I think it was last week that we had a high of 43 degrees or something, but now, it’ll be a high of mid to upper 70′s all week. Gotta love it :) I have to dig out some short sleeve shirts this week, because when they say it’ll be 78 degrees, they really mean 83 degrees!

I would be going to the park or enjoying the outside, but my son is sick… yet again. You know, I’m that mother that keeps her son home from school when he has even a low grade fever like he has now. Did he go to school this morning?? NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Does he ever go to school sick? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! But yet, he is constantly getting sick. Which means that there are other mothers that are sending their children to school sick each and everyday. Well you know what? I’m going to find those mothers and kick their ass.

I’m sick of having a sick child. We should be at the park enjoying the beautiful 70+ degree days. We should be running around with or short sleeved shirts and basking in the warmness. But instead, we’re sitting home for at least 2 days doing nothing. Ugh… I hate those mothers :(

Once he has been in school awhile, he will build up a resistance and he won’t get sick as often.

Gosh I know how you feel. One or both of my boys have been sick on and off for 3 weeks. My older son has missed about a month pre-school in the last 6 weeks. I hope your little once gets better.

You can still take him outside for a small walk, the fresh air will be nice.

And you can stop by and complain anytime, I’ll be posting a huge complaint thread in a bit. Work is getting annoying.

Can I live with you haha? Michigan winters suck. If it doesn’t snow it’s just dreary because everything is dead and brown.

I’m sorry your son is sick again – that sucks! The weather here is that crazy too. Today it’s cold and tomorrow it’s supposed to be 65 or warmer. Hope you had a good weekend. Kellan

I think for some parents it’s incredibly difficult to keep a child home due to work schedules and whatnot… so if their child “only has the sniffles” or something like that, they’re much more likely to send them. My own parents sent me oftentimes when I wasn’t really sick simply so I wouldn’t rack up absences. In this state, especially in grades 3-12, it is INCREDIBLY important for students to be in school as much as possible due to curriculum driven by EOGs.

    I hope Matt feels better.
