Who Knew?

So, I found out something very important about myself today. I can no longer write. Not as in “OMG I’ve got writer’s block!” It’s more like – “Wait, is that a pen?”

I wrote out all my Christmas cards tonight and it was an eye opening experience! By card 3 my hand hurt, I didn’t know whether to print or write in cursive and I forgot how to put two letters together like T and H… somehow they ended up half and half. I couldn’t spell without my trusty spell checker, and my grammar was half assed at best. I grew up in the “old school” of writing a personalized note with every single card. Yeah – um, not so much next year! So here is what I found out:

My name is EC and I’m addicted to typing. I can no longer write even a few words without screwing it up and getting pain in my right hand. I’m a writing loser :(

There I said it! Now when you get your Christmas cards you can remember back to this post and understand why there are chicken scratches that I am trying to pass off as writing. Jeesh, the nuns in my grammar school would be so ashamed!!

I know what you mean. I no longer write if I can help it because of no spell check.

Oh my gawsh… that happened to me last night! Seems like we were all doing the same thing last night and we should all be looking forward to christmas card giggles over shitty writing, spelling mistakes and crossed out errors. You’ll see…

Funny picture and cute post. I did my cards on Sunday and I too was in minor pain – but they are done. Take care – Kellan

Too funny. When I have to write my son a note for someting for school, I find my hand cramps. He is in Kindergarten and I find I have a hare time helping him with his printing because I am SO BAD AT IT ANYMORE! I think we are all going to be old men and ladies with cramped up wrists/forearms/hands in old folks home eventually. We will shake fingers instead of hands because it is too much work for our typers. I say Christmas cards Shmismas cards, anyway. I think I may bah humbug them this year. Is that terrible?
