Deceptively Delicious – and easy! And It’s Weigh-In Day too!

I did it. I cooked! And I don’t mean some frozen meal either. I actually cooked a full meal! And for all those “Skinny Bitches” like Jasmine and Shelah – yes, it had meat in it
In fact, you could call it Italian Meatloaf! At least that is what Jessica calls it
I did this in part because I have gained a lot of weight this past week. Stress as well as some other stuff has me eating bad bad stuff. I won’t name the number of pounds that I gained, but some of you know already. Suffice it to say that it is more than 5 and less than 10 – but that is entirely too much for one week.
By the way – or should I say weigh – It is indeed Weigh In Day for all of our Our Wicked Weigh members. I know you are missing your home – it is almost back, so it won’t be long now. But until then, you can weigh-in right here
Tell us what your scale said!
Now back to me…
So I’m trying to learn how to cook in a more healthy way – like with my Deceptively Delicious book! It has family friendly meals that are supposedly easy. I have to admit, it was, even if I am not a great cook.
Let’s enjoy my cooking experience through a myriad of pictures that will fully explain what I went through shall we?
Ah, the famous book – isn’t it cute?

I’m ready to go!! I got all my 11 ingredients and I’ve already pureed and everything!
What? Are you serious? This is the crap I’m eating?
Ah, now that looks better!
As you can see I’m impatiently waiting for the Italian Meatloaf to cook.
Ok, here we go! My son and I are ready to try it… I think. Hey! It wasn’t too bad! Granted my son took one bite and spit it out, but I’m not offended. He doesn’t like anything
But look at the healthiness on those plates! And very portion controlled might I add.
Ah – the reason I never cook. Clean up time!
All in all it wasn’t so bad! I think it’ll go quicker the next time I make it. I’m just such a klutz in the kitchen that it is hard to get it all organized. But I do have to say the meatloaf was definitely edible, if not actually good. Tomorrow night – Chicken Nuggets with Spinach! YUM!

I tried so damn hard to get us up by weigh day. Dammit. I promise that weigh in next week will be back where it belongs.
The meatloaf looked yummy. And FYI I am still eating some meat. Seafood and occasionally chicken. But not much. As for the scale. Only 1 poun down this week. *sigh* I was hoping to hit my goal a whole 8 days early. 1.5 to go though. I might actually have time to exercise more this upcoming week so stay tuned for my celebration post.

I officially hit my christmas goal to be in the 170s a little early too

Erin, I gained 7 pounds last week. Don’t ask me how I did it, but I did.
I am now living miserably at the gym and freaking out.

I regained the 2 pounds I had lost last week. I enjoy the holiday season, and there’s lots of stuff I’m looking forward to, but I have to admit I’m also kinda looking forward to January and being able to start over without all of the holiday food to tempt me!

Why is that mess you made in your kitchen making me twitch? Oh ya… cus I’m a neat freak and chaos in the kitchen scares me! I’m proud of you though for making something home made…even though it’s got animal in it – I will just have to work on that with you little by little.
I weighed in at 165.6… the first time I’ve dropped below 166 in two months so I’m happy with that. But it makes it a bit harder to reach for that Lindt chocolate I was just about to. Not that hard though.

I want your book. I saw Mrs. Seinfeld on ‘The View’… I would kill to get my 5 year old to eat something that isn’t baloney or hot dogs.

Looks yummy! I love meatloaf, but my family won’t eat it. Maybe I’ll try again.

Yum..meatloaf. The kidlet loves it after I explained its just a square hamburger and yes he can put ketchup on it.
I am down 1/2 a pound. That makes 2 pounds towards my 15 pound goal in March. I was surprised to see a loss, I haven’t been the best I could this week, next we doesn’t look better either. Butter cookies……

Oh and 143 pounds. Looks like all that pigging out finally caught up with me. But happy to say that I’m back on the WW wagon and am counting points and watching what I eat! Yay me!
Love the photos!

Dec 17, 2007 @ 02:47:00

that looks tasty! go you for cooking…i agree…the clean-up is the worst! you should try to make an arrangement with someone, like you cook, they clean…that’s what me and my SO do. it makes cooking sooooooooo much better!
