Let’s Recap Shall We?

Well we’re in the final stretch before Christmas, and I still have a ton of things left to do. It really is the latest I have ever been prepared, and I’m overwhelmed, which is leading to procrastination which is leading to me not doing anything.

So, let’s recap what I said last week –

I have 12,000 to-do lists and haven’t done even a quarter of them. So, I’m officially making a list right here so that I can get something done this week. I’m making a small list to avoid more procrastination :)

1. Get Christmas cards for my mom (yeah, can you believe I forgot my mom??), Deidre, Karyn, and Millie
2. Get Gails address to mail out her card
3. Write 116 articles by Sunday (Yeah, I’m serious)
4. Go shopping (see #3 for why I haven’t shopped yet – no cash since I haven’t been writing)
5. Plan out menu for small party this weekend (any suggestions of good party foods?)
6. Buy a pair of shoes for Matthew for his Christmas choir program on Wednesday

I think that’s it – that isn’t so bad right?? I can do this!

My sister is coming in on Saturday from Michigan so that cuts down on the writing time, but if I really work my fingers to the bone I think I can be done. Gosh, this year is so stressful for me. I have my son all shopped for but no one else. I have absolutely no money whatsoever, and I don’t know how I’m going to do this. I offered to throw this party like months ago so I feel like I have to do it, but seriously, I can’t afford it. Don’t even get me started on money issues – because I’m screwed when it comes to that. But I’m not going to complain, I’m just going to make the best of it. At least now I have a list! I’m going to try to accomplish at least 4 out of the 6 today – wish me luck!!

Can you dole out some of the writing to other people who might help? I don’t know how good it would be, but I’d do a couple to help take the load off :-)

As for the party..is it a dinner thing or just appetizers ? This makes a huge difference in my suggestions.

As for the writing: I am not gonna bug you about the blog stuff. I will just wing it and you can replace as you have time for. THAT should help some….maybe. LOL!

Uggh Erin, you made me tired just reading all this. Too much to do…

Quit reading this and get to work!

Sorry about the money issues, at least the boy is taken care of. That’s a bright spot.

You need to take a deep breath, regroup, come up for air and stick to your well intentioned game plan.

Have a Lindt chocolate, they make EVERYTHING smooth and sweet and creamy. You won’t be able to stop yourself from feeling good.
